Luxury from the Ground up

A hallmark of luxury residential design is door sills or thresholds flush with the floor, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. Achieving this look, however, requires effective and reliable water drainage at the sill. Fleetwood Windows & Doors proprietary, tested, and certified* Arche-Duct system provides effective water management in a floor-flush sill, even under hurricane force conditions.

Engineered Water Management

The Arche-Duct system functions as a contained drainage basin, actively managing water before it can reach interior finishes.

  1. A narrow slot captures surface water across the full width of the opening 
  2. Water is directed into an integrated 2"-deep aluminum duct in the subfloor 
  3. The duct connects to a drainage pipe below the floor 
  4. Water is routed safely back to the exterior of the structure

Arche-Duct is available in two performance grades across Fleetwood’s product portfolio, including 3-Series, Gen 4, and EDGE multi-slide, swing, and pivot doors.


Hidden/Minimal Drainage

Designed for most residential applications where water exposure is moderate and properly managed through architectural design.

  • Enhanced weatherstripping and water management capacity 
  • Designed to handle high wind-driven rain conditions 
  • Include: 3070-HI†, 3070-T†, 3070, 4070-T (Heavy Duty Option) 


Tested & Certified

While other manufacturers offer similar concepts, those systems are often pieced together from third-party components. Instead, Arche-Duct offers distinct advantages.

  • Designed, engineered, and manufactured by Fleetwood as a complete system 
  • Tested as part of the overall door and window wall assembly 
  • Offered as a standard, off-the-shelf solution, not an aftermarket workaround
* Tested and Certified Arche-Duct systems include: 3070, 3070-T, 3070-HI, 3050, 4070-T, 4400-T, EDGE |s|, EDGE |p|, EDGE |f|. Arche-Duct systems that have not been formally certified but provide enhanced water management include 3600-T, 3200-T, 3900-T, and 4400 Wood. 

Installation & Coordination

Arche-Duct is straightforward to install, but it is not a standalone component.*

Successful implementation requires coordination with: 

  • Floor assembly design 
  • Waterproofing strategy 
  • Drainage routing (typically 1"–2" pipe connections) 
  • Site grading and exterior water management
